President Alix presided over the meeting
 
Members Present:  Alix, Lisa, Peggy, Harvey, Barbara, Frank, Loren, Shahid.
 
Guests: Marc Winter (prospective member), Rebecca Perumal (VP OneBank)
 
Meeting Highlights:
 
Alix opened the meeting at 12:20 pm with the Pledge, a Prayer for Rotary and the community, and the recitation of the Four-Way Test and the unison singing of the Club song.  The Meeting adjourned at 1:50 pm.
 
Minutes of the 13 September meeting were not approved due to the lack of a quorum.
 
Happy Rosh Hashanah was wished to those celebrating.
 
Holiday Raffle:  The drawing will be on 13 December.  There will be as usual 100 tickets at $100 each.  There will be 3 prizes - $2,500, $1,500 and $1,000.  All monies received will be the deposited to the Operating account.  After the payment to the winners and the reimbursement for the ticket printing costs, the balance will be transferred to the Foundation Account as our funds raised through the raffle.
 
Dream Court: Lisa informed the meeting that Pete had written to Mayor Spano regarding the Dream Court.  Loren indicated that initially, when the project was taken on, no specific location for the Dream Court had been identified, although Andrus Field was preferred because of the location.
 
EarlyAct:  Barbara will chair the EarlyAct Committee for the Hostos School.  The EarlyAct program focusses on Seventh and Eighth grade and Pre-K to Sixth grade levels.  There will be a meeting with the Hostos School on this project on Friday 29 September,
 
Strategic Planning Discussion organized by the District has been cancelled due to the lack of participation by Rotarians.
 
The Public Image Seminar will be held on 23 October at the DoubleTree Hotel in Tarrytown.  The $45 cost includes Dinner.  Members can register by going to the District website rotary7230.org.
 
The Yonkers Historian – copies of the Newsletter of the Yonkers Historical Society were distributed to members.  We received copies as a sponsor of the Society which received our Community Service Grant.
 
Holiday Flyer:  Alix said we should have a flyer which we can put on the website and which can be shared by members on their social media pages.
