Members Present: Sundra, Barbara, Jeffrey, Bina, Mahbub, Matts, Loren, Ali, Peggy, Seeme, Nicole, Richard, Harvey, Frank.

Guest: Harry Singh, George John, Roger Guzman (Prospective Members)

Highlights:
Meeting at Mont Olympos Diner was called to order by President Sundra at 12:20 pm. Following the Pledge, and the invocation. The 4-way test was recited and everyone participated in the Rotary song.  The meeting adjourned at 1:30 pm

Happy Bucks were collected.

Introduction of Members: All members introduced themselves, their professions, how long they have been part of the Rotary family and their achievements in and outside of Rotary.

Club Move:  Sundra thanked Barbara and Pete for moving our Club filing cabinets and other materials out of Luciano's and to Mont Olympos Diner.

Club Meetings:  A vote was taken about our month-end evening meeting.  The matter will be considered further at the next meeting

National Night Out: Sundra, Matts and Seeme attended National Night out at Andrus Field, which was well attended, but cut short by heavy rain. Hand crafts were introduced to kids by Sandra.  Seeme distributed flyers of Rotary which were printed by Jeffrey.  We also had a table at the JFK Marina.  Barbara pointed out that there were 2 other face painters there and having a face-painter there did not work out well.  Loren said that our presence at these events has a different type of impact - it raises awareness about our Club and our activities.

Dream Court Global Grant:  The Global Grant for the Dream Court is approved, pending some additional paperwork which is being attended to. RI has suggested all funds for the project - Our Club funds (5,250), contributions raised by Pete Spano and the Nancy Lieberman Foundation and the RI Global Grant - should be consolidated into one account.  Our Club Funds and that of the Nancy Lieberman Foundation will be first sent to RI Foundation and from there RI Foundation will forward the entire grant amount to the new Club Foundation account to be set up for this purpose.  Club Foundation Chair Matts Ingemanson stated that the Club Foundation will have to ensure that all disbursement receipts are retained for at least 7 years.  Since one of the project components is the continuing anti-bullying program, there will be continuing expenditures from account for the 3-year duration of the anti-bullying program.

October Fundraiser:  The Will Library Auditorium is booked for the October 20 Fundraiser event.  The featured band Live 'N Kicken is also confirmed.  Jeffrey felt $25 was a bit high for a ticket.  It was decided by vote that the ticket price will be $22.  For PayPal sales, the PayPal charges will be added to the ticket price.  Mahbub will create the PayPal site for ticket sales.

Holiday Raffle: Sundra asked members if they want to continue our Holiday Raffle. Harvey said this is a fundraiser from which we give half to the prize winners and keep half for our Club projects. It was agreed that we will do it in the same format as last year - 100 tickets to be sold at $100 each with 3 prizes - $3,000, $1,000 and $1,000.  Drawing will be in mid-December and we will start selling tickets in early November.
