Guest Speaker
Our guest speaker Teuta Sahatoqija, Ambassador, Consulate-General of the Republic of Kosovo spoke in detail about her country, current economy and culture. It seems that the difficult times they endured during the war in the 1990s has left great impact in her country. They are very grateful for all the help that first world countries such as the United States provided back then, and they are now thriving. Kosovo is now a country full of talented and smart citizens.
Main Motions
Barbara asked fellow Rotarians if they would speak in front of a group of children from the Eugenia de Maria Hostos school. They meet on Thursdays at 1:45pm at the school and the presenter would speak about their journey as a Rotarian and what they do as professionals, etc. Amir & Mayra volunteered. However, she will email the group and see if anyone else would like to come speak.
Announcements
Barbara announced the formation of a basketball court committee consisting of members: Alix, Sundra, Barb, Peggy & Timmy. They agreed to meet before the next meeting to share information of what the status is and what was done during the winter program.
Adjournment
President Sundra moved that the meeting be adjourned, and this was agreed upon at 8:20pm.
