Highlights:
 
Alix opened the Meeting at 12:20 with the Pledge, a Prayer for Rotary and the community, the recitation of the Four-Way Test, and the Rotary song.  The Meeting adjourned at 1:40.
 
Happy Bucks – A total of $19 was collected today.
 
Minutes of 10 January and 7 February were approved unanimously.
 
Correspondence – Thank You letter received from Volunteer Association of Bangladesh for our $3,000 donation for education and training program for the needy in Bangladesh.
 
Board Meeting Recap – (1) Nominating Committee will be comprised of 5 Members – President, President-Elect, plus 3 Members recommended by the Board. (2) Polio Dinner – Written agreement will be requested of the District as to what they will contribute for the event. (3) Foundation – In actuality, all Club Members are Members of the Foundation.  New York State requires that a 50% approval by Membership in order to amend the Foundation Agreement.  (4) There was discussion on the onerous task of approving the minutes.  As to whether or not the quorum should be changed, Barbara stated we should simply just stop requiring their approval.  Matts and Alix responded that other clubs did not require this process.  In referring to the Club Bylaws Alix revealed that there is no requirement to approve the minutes.  Accordingly, it was decided that the minutes or club bulletin, would no longer have to be approved.
 
Burbio.com reports on a variety of events occurring in Yonkers, including school, community, Club, and Library events.  Jeffrey reported that Members may sign up for free at Yonkers-East Yonkers Rotary Club.
 
Community Service Grants Committee – Alix reported that this Committee will be comprised of Sundra, Peggy, Harvey, Greg, Father Philippe, Rev. Walls and Amanda.
 
High School Scholarship Committee – Alix has appointed Marc as Chair, Parul and  Jessica are Members,   Marc will reach out to others as well as the Board of Education to ensure scholarship info. is distributed..
 
Pancake Breakfast – Sunday, April 15, at St. John’s Riverside Hospital.  We need to know our top 3 Raffle Prizes before a flyer can be distributed.  If you can assist, or know of anyone who can, please inform Peggy as soon possible.  Also, numerous door prizes will be needed. 
 
Administrator of the Year Dinner – This annual event will be held on Tuesday, May 22, at The Riverview.
 
Early Act Program – Hostos MicroSociety School – Travel-size packages of toiletries (i.e., toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, combs, etc.) will be collected at the February 21 Meeting for assembly by the students at the end of February.

The winning card is the Queen of Hearts.

Sundra won $8 today.
She drew the Ace of Diamonds, which has been discarded.
 
 
The “pot” is at $101 with 40 cards remaining.
