Meeting Highlights:
Alix opened the Meeting at 12:25 with the Pledge, a Prayer for Rotary and the community, the recitation of the Four-Way Test, and the Rotary song led by Harvey. The Meeting adjourned at 1:40.
Minutes of the 30 August and 6 September Meetings were approved unanimously.
September Birthdays – Happy Birthday to Sundra and Jeffrey.
Today’s Board Meeting – Alix reported that the Board has approved the Budget for 2017-2018. The resignation of Treasurer Barbara Hanna has been accepted. The Board also approved an expenditure in the amount of $400 for our participation as a partner in Yonkers Basics. Banners displaying logos from participating organizations will be included, and they will be in 5 different locations in Yonkers. The objective is to include the 5 methods to make for a healthy and happy child.
Club Foundation Trustees Meeting will be scheduled in the near future. To prepare for the meeting, Trustee Matts Ingemanson was given the Foundation documents including the checkbook for the Foundation account
The name of the “District 7230 Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund” has been changed to “District 7230 Disaster Relief. Fund”.
District Notes – DG Barbara had her surgery this week She is doing well. District Planning Seminar – 19 September has been cancelled. – Public Image Seminar – 23 October at Double-Tree in Tarrytown - $45 including Dinner. The District is trying to train Clubs in specific areas.
List of Committees will be provided to Members soon. All Members are asked to indicate the Committee(s) you would like to serve on. Committees are currently being reviewed and broken down into various headings.
Guests – Prospective Members – Marc Winter attended his third Meeting with us today. His Membership Application will be forwarded to the Board for approval and then to the Club Membership. Andrea Campbell is Membership Teamleader for Sam’s Club in Elmsford (Walmart.com/giving) and is also a member of the Tarrytown Chamber of Commerce. Her aim is in giving back to the community.
Meeting Venue – 27 September – The Meeting will be held at 6:15 p.m. at the Dolphin Restaurant. Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano will be our speaker.
Happy Bucks was collected in the amount of $27.
