Highlights:
Alix opened the Meeting at 12:30 with the Pledge, a Prayer for Rotary and the community, the recitation of the Four-Way Test, and the Rotary song led by Harvey. The Meeting adjourned at 1:40.
Minutes of the 6, 13, and 20 December Meetings were not approved because of a lack of quorum. Please let Peggy know if you approve of these minutes. No response will be considered as a positive response in favor of approval.

Early Act – Hostos Micro Society School – Barbara reported that Nadine, Executive of the Sharing Community in Yonkers, recently spoke at the School. They are assembling packages for the homeless individuals and are in need of hotel-size toiletries. If you have any or can pick up some in your travels, please notify Barbara as soon as possible.
District Technical Presentation – Mahbub provided a slide presentation of the state of Technology in the District. He explained the structure of the Zone and District and how they relate to the Clubs. There are currently 1,240 Members in District 7230, and the number has been dropping. Based on Membership figures, Yonkers-East Yonkers is the eighth largest Club in District 7230. The goals are Identification of common and individual challenges among Clubs, development of a Plan of Action to assist Clubs to improve the use of technology. Clubs encouraged to identify members comfortable with technology. Eventually, focused training modules will be available for Clubs.
Mahbub provided some insights about the Club based on the data available:

- Members of unreported age: 6
- Rule of 85 Members: 1
- 25 Members have never logged on to District site.

Members are urged to log on to the Club Site (
www.yonkersrotary.org) and update their own profiles periodically and their basic information. If you don’t have your username and password you can easily retrieve them. On the Club website, click on the Member Login button on the top right of the Home page. You will be asked to enter your username and password. Below that is the line which says Users can retrieve their usernames and passwords by clicking on that line. The next page will ask for your Name and your email. Please enter the email address where you receive this bulletin. In a few minutes, you will be receiving an email with your username and password. If you have any questions, please contact Mahbub.
Note that for the Club site, the username is not case sensitive, but the password is.
There are 2 mobile Apps for both Apple and Android devices available to Members – The ClubRunner App to access Members and Club news and the Club Locator App to access information about Clubs and their meeting times/locations, all over the world.
Mahbub also explained the Rotary "Rule of 85”. An individual must be a Member of one or more Rotary Clubs for at least 20 years. That number plus your age will qualify you to be subject to this privilege. It permits members to remain members in good standing without having to attend regular meetings.
It is important for Club Executives to regularly login on to the District and RI sites and check their respective Club's information.. Club executives are asked to enter their Club goals on the RI site.
If you should attend a Meeting at any other Club or a Rotary Seminar, please notify Alix and Peggy as soon thereafter as possible. Your attendance can then be properly recorded.
