The funds were handed over to that Club for sending on to the Orphanage.  The Project is underway and Rotarian Nazrana of the Phoenix Club is in charge of the project. She will monitor the project and provide ongoing reports.
Loren suggested that the Club could consider "adopting" this orphanage and undertake to give $100 per month so the kids can have some nutritious food.

Pancake Breakfast  Jeffrey said $3150 has so far been collected for the Pancake Breakfast from 5 sponsors.  He said we need to do publicity, gather items for baskets, gift certificates for bidding, serving placemats.  The checks were given to Barbara for deposit to the Foundation account.  Members present at the meeting stuffed envelopes with the letters soliciting sponsorships - labeled and stamped the letters.

Guest Speaker: President of Untermeyer Garden and Conservancy. Stephen Byrns spoke about the Gardens very passionately.  It’s a city-owned park. He spoke highly about Samuel Untermyer who was a great lawyer, a successful investor who wanted to design the finest Garden. He took ideas from various Gardens around the world.  Samuel has left us a garden that truly reflects the diversity of our world. The Garden is a Persian Garden. Tours of the Garden are given regularly.

Dream Court:  Grand opening of the just built Dream Court at Barton park will be on Tuesday, February 26th 2019  Our Rotary Logo will be placed on the court before the Opening.  Members are invited to attend the ceremony where the Mayor will speak.

Pencils:  There are a total of 39 elementary schools and pencils are going to be given only to first graders throughout Yonkers Public Schools.  Ali will work with Greg and prepare the boxes for distribution.
